Licensing Terms

These Licensing Terms explain how products and creative deliverables obtained from Moon Hollow Atelier may be used.
Moon Hollow Atelier is operated by Moon Hollow Creative LLC (“Moon Hollow Atelier,” “the Atelier,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By purchasing, downloading, accessing, or using an Atelier product, you agree to these Licensing Terms, our Terms of Purchase, and any additional terms displayed on the applicable product page.
1. Products Are Licensed, Not Sold
Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, purchasing or downloading an Atelier product grants you a limited licence to use that product. It does not transfer ownership of the product, its artwork, its design, or its underlying intellectual property.
Moon Hollow Creative LLC retains all rights not expressly granted under these Licensing Terms.
2. Product-Specific Terms
Moon Hollow Atelier offers several types of products and services, including:
- Exclusive premade ebook covers
- KDP paperback and hardcover print-wrap upgrades
- Custom Book Launch Graphics
- Downloadable design assets
- Scene dividers, chapter ornaments, and publishing graphics
- Editable Canva templates
- Genre-matched launch kits and bundled collections
- Free samples and promotional resources
Different products require different usage rules. The product-specific sections below apply in addition to the general licensing conditions on this page.
If a product page or written licence expressly grants additional rights, those product-specific terms will apply to that product. Our Terms of Purchase continue to govern payment, delivery, refunds, revisions, and other transactional matters.
3. Definitions
For these Licensing Terms:
Digital Asset means a downloadable design element such as an ornament, divider, frame, chapter-header graphic, texture, illustration, or similar creative file.
Editable Template means a product intended to be customized by the purchaser, including a Canva template or editable promotional layout.
Finished End Product means a completed creative work in which an Atelier product has been incorporated and cannot be readily extracted or reused as a standalone asset.
Examples include a completed book interior, flattened book cover, exported promotional graphic, published ebook, or printed book.
Source File means an original or editable working file, including CSP files, layered design files, editable artwork, template links, individual graphics, and other files from which components may be extracted.
Purchaser means the individual or legal business entity that lawfully obtained the product.
4. Standard Single-User Commercial Licence
Unless a product page states otherwise, downloadable design assets and editable templates include a Standard Single-User Commercial Licence.
This licence is granted to one individual purchaser or one single-owner business operated by that purchaser.
Subject to the product-specific conditions below, the purchaser may:
- Use the product in personal or commercial creative projects
- Use reusable assets across multiple projects belonging to the purchaser
- Incorporate assets into published ebooks and printed books
- Use assets in book interiors, covers, websites, social-media graphics, advertisements, and other completed designs
- Resize, recolour, crop, or combine reusable assets as part of a finished design
- Sell or distribute finished books and other finished end products incorporating the assets
- Create finished work for a direct client, provided the client receives only the completed, flattened deliverable
- Retain reasonable backup copies for the purchaser’s own use
The licence does not permit additional people, employees, collaborators, clients, or contractors to access or use the original asset files or editable templates.
5. Reusable Design Assets
Reusable design assets may include scene dividers, chapter ornaments, frames, decorative elements, publishing graphics, and related files.
You may incorporate these assets into your own finished books, promotional materials, websites, and other completed creative projects.
You may modify an asset to suit the finished project. However, modifying an asset does not transfer ownership of the original or modified asset to you and does not permit you to sell or distribute the modified asset as a standalone product.
The asset must form part of a larger finished composition. It must not be distributed in a manner that allows another person to extract, download, or reuse it independently.
Client work
A freelance designer may use a licensed asset when creating a finished design for a direct client, provided:
- Only the purchasing designer works with the original asset
- The client receives a flattened or otherwise non-extractable finished product
- The original asset, source file, or editable asset library is not transferred to the client
- The asset is not used to create a reusable template or design system for the client
If the client requires access to the original asset, the client must purchase their own licence.
6. Editable Canva Templates
Editable Canva templates may be customized and used to create finished promotional graphics for the purchaser’s own books, publishing projects, or business.
You may:
- Create a personal working copy of the supplied template
- Replace the sample text and images with your own content
- Adjust permitted colours, fonts, and layout elements
- Export finished JPG, PNG, PDF, or other supported files
- Publish and commercially use the exported graphics for your eligible projects
- Reuse the template for your own projects unless the product page imposes a specific project limit
You may not:
- Share the original template link with another person
- Resell, redistribute, sublicense, or give away the template
- Add the template to a shared template library
- Sell altered versions of the template as templates
- Extract Atelier artwork or design elements for standalone use or resale
- Use the template to create competing template packs
- Transfer ownership of the editable template to a client
- Claim the template design or its included Atelier artwork as your own original creation
Where client use is permitted, the client may receive exported, flattened graphics only. The client may not receive the editable Canva template unless the client purchases a separate licence.
Use of Canva and Canva-provided content remains subject to Canva’s own terms and licence conditions. Moon Hollow Atelier does not own or grant independent rights to Canva’s software, fonts, stock content, or platform features.
A free or paid Canva account may be required. Any requirement for Canva Pro will be identified on the applicable product page where reasonably possible.
7. Exclusive Premade Cover Licence
An exclusive premade cover is licensed to one purchaser for use with one associated book title by the named author or pen name supplied during the customization process.
After full payment, the purchaser may use the completed ebook-cover file:
- As the ebook cover for the associated title
- On retailer, author, publisher, review, and promotional platforms
- In advertisements and social-media posts promoting that title
- On the author’s or publisher’s website
- In announcements, catalogues, newsletters, and other ordinary marketing for that title
The cover may not be transferred to or reused for a different book, author, pen name, series entry, product, or client without written permission.
What “exclusive” means
Once an exclusive premade cover has been purchased, Moon Hollow Atelier will not resell the same completed cover design as another premade cover.
Exclusivity applies to the completed cover composition. It does not grant exclusive ownership of individual fonts, licensed stock images, textures, mockups, ornaments, or other underlying components. Those components may be nonexclusive and may appear separately in other lawful creative works.
Unless expressly agreed in writing, the purchase grants an exclusive usage licence for the completed cover rather than an assignment of copyright.
Artwork and source files
Premade-cover artwork is sold as displayed. The included customization is limited to the text and other options stated on the product page.
The purchaser may not:
- Alter or commission another person to alter the cover artwork
- Extract individual visual elements
- Obtain or demand the original source file
- Use the cover to create another cover, template, asset pack, or merchandise
- Resell, sublicense, redistribute, or give away the cover
- Claim authorship of the cover design
Text customization does not include custom artwork, character alterations, compositing changes, or replacement of major design elements.
8. Paperback Print-Wrap Upgrades
A front ebook-cover purchase does not automatically include a print-ready wrap.
Paperback print wraps is separate upgrade prepared specifically for Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (“KDP”), IngramSpark or Lulu using the information supplied by the customer.
A purchased print wrap may be used only:
- For the book associated with the original premade cover
- On the platform selected by the customer at time of purchase (either KDP, IngramSpark or Lulu).
- With the supplied trim size, page count, paper selection, and other production specifications
Hardcover print-wraps are separate deliverable not currently offered by the Atelier.
Files prepared for the customer’s chosen platform at time of purchase are not represented as compatible with other platforms such as Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, Lulu, Barnes & Noble Press, Draft2Digital Print, or any other printer or distributor. Adaptation for another platform requires a separate written agreement.
The purchaser may upload the completed print-wrap file to their chosen platform but may not resell, redistribute, repurpose, or extract artwork from it.
9. Custom Book Launch Graphics
Book Launch Graphics are finished promotional graphics created for the associated book. They are not editable templates unless the applicable product page expressly says otherwise.
The purchaser may:
- Post the completed graphics on their website and social-media accounts
- Use them in organic or paid promotion for the associated book
- Add accompanying captions, links, and platform-native text
- Use them for the campaign or release connected to the associated title
- Make minor platform-required crops or resizing adjustments that do not materially alter the design
The purchaser may not:
- Resell or redistribute the graphics
- Convert them into templates for use by others
- Extract their component artwork
- Use them to promote a different book or unrelated product
- Claim the underlying graphic design as their own work
- provide the graphics as stock content, editable files, or design assets
10. Bundles and Genre-Matched Collections
A bundle may contain more than one type of product, such as an editable launch template, chapter ornaments, scene dividers, promotional graphics, or discount codes.
Each component remains subject to the licensing rules applicable to that type of product. Purchasing a bundle does not expand the licence for an individual component unless the product page expressly states otherwise.
Discount codes have no cash value and remain subject to their stated validity period, product restrictions, and redemption conditions.
11. Free Resources and Samples
Free resources remain protected by copyright and are not public-domain materials.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, free resources may be used in finished personal or commercial projects under the same general restrictions that apply to paid reusable assets.
Free resources may not be:
- Resold or redistributed
- Uploaded to asset-sharing websites
- Included in free or paid template packs
- Shared through public folders or download links
- Used to create competing products
- Presented as the recipient’s original standalone artwork
Where a free product includes its own licence or README file, the product-specific licence applies.
12. Prohibited Uses
Unless Moon Hollow Atelier gives prior written permission, no Atelier product may be:
- Resold, redistributed, sublicensed, shared, or given away in its original or modified form
- Uploaded to stock libraries, asset marketplaces, shared drives, or file-sharing websites
- Included in a downloadable product where another person can extract or reuse it
- Used to create competing design packs, templates, graphics libraries, or mockup collections
- Shared with unlicensed employees, collaborators, contractors, clients, or organizations
- Used as the primary value of a print-on-demand product or merchandise item
- Registered as a trademark, service mark, or exclusive logo
- Used in unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, hateful, or deliberately misleading material
- Used in a manner that falsely suggests endorsement by Moon Hollow Atelier
- Used for cryptocurrency, blockchain, or non-fungible-token projects
- Used to train, fine-tune, test, benchmark, or develop an artificial-intelligence or machine-learning system
- Added to an AI dataset, image dataset, prompt library, model-training collection, or automated style-replication system
- Used to create generated imitations of Moon Hollow Atelier’s artwork, products, or distinctive visual style
These restrictions apply to original products, modified products, previews, website images, mockups, and promotional materials.
13. Multi-User, Team, Publisher, and Enterprise Use
The Standard Single-User Commercial Licence does not include shared access.
Please contact Moon Hollow Atelier before purchasing if an asset or template will be:
- Accessed by multiple employees or team members
- Stored in a shared company asset library
- Used by an agency, design studio, or publishing team
- Used by multiple freelancers or contractors
- Repeatedly used to produce work for multiple clients
- Incorporated into an application, service, software product, or automated content system
- Used in a manner exceeding the permissions on this page
A separate Team, Studio, Publisher, or Enterprise Licence may be required. Additional licences are issued by written agreement and may involve an additional fee based on the proposed use.
14. Attribution
Attribution is not required for ordinary finished works unless the applicable product page expressly states otherwise.
You are welcome to credit Moon Hollow Atelier, but doing so does not replace the need for a valid licence or permit an otherwise prohibited use.
15. Third-Party Components
Some products may incorporate properly licensed third-party components such as fonts, stock imagery, Canva elements, textures, or mockup resources.
Your purchase does not transfer ownership of those third-party components or grant you the right to extract or use them separately.
Where separate third-party terms apply, you are responsible for complying with those terms. Font files, stock files, and other separately licensed resources are not supplied unless expressly stated.
16. Intellectual-Property Ownership
All original artwork, layouts, graphics, templates, product previews, written materials, and product designs created by Moon Hollow Atelier remain the intellectual property of Moon Hollow Creative LLC unless ownership is expressly transferred through a separate written agreement.
No implied licence is granted beyond the permissions expressly described on this page.
17. Licence Violations and Termination
Your licence may terminate automatically if you breach these Licensing Terms.
If a breach occurs, you must immediately stop using the affected product and remove all unlawfully distributed copies, template links, asset files, or prohibited materials within your control.
Termination does not require Moon Hollow Atelier to refund the purchase price.
Moon Hollow Creative LLC reserves the right to pursue appropriate remedies for unauthorized use, redistribution, infringement, or other violations.
18. Updates to These Terms
These Licensing Terms may be updated to reflect new products, platforms, business practices, or legal requirements.
The version in effect when you purchase a product will generally govern that purchase unless a later update is required by law, corrects an error, or provides additional rights without materially reducing rights previously granted.
The current version will always be published on this page.

- Whether clients or outside contractors will require file access
