Licensing
An overview of standard permitted use of the Atelier’s assets and systems.
Moon Hollow Atelier products are created for serious creative work, including published books, formatted manuscripts, event stationery, invitation suites, and other finished creative projects intended for distribution or personal use.
Unless otherwise stated, all Atelier products are provided under the Standard Studio License.
Product Categories
Moon Hollow Atelier products fall into two primary categories:
(1) Reusable Design Assets & Publishing Systems
Ornamental elements, layout systems, codices, and design components intended for incorporation into multiple finished works.
(2) Editable Event Templates
Document-based designs such as invitation suites and event stationery intended for use for a specific event.
Usage rights differ slightly between these categories, as outlined below.
Standard Studio License
The Standard Studio License is included with all Atelier purchases.
This license grants the purchaser the right to use Atelier products in finished creative works, including but not limited to:
- Published books and ebooks
- Printed or digital journals
- Novellas, novels, and short story collections
- Personal or commercial publishing projects by a single creator or small business. (Use across multiple projects applies exclusively to Reusable Design Assets & Publishing Systems and does not extend to Editable Event Templates).
- Personal event stationery and invitation suites for a single event
Reusable Design Assets & Publishing Systems may be used across multiple finished works, provided they are incorporated into a completed project and not redistributed as standalone files.
For Editable Event Stationery Templates, the Standard Studio License permits use for one personal event or one client event per purchase. Reuse for additional events requires an additional license.
What is permitted
For Reusable Design Assets & Publishing Systems:
Under the Standard Studio License, you may:
- Use assets in personal or commercial publishing projects
- Incorporate assets into completed manuscripts and interior designs
- Modify, resize, recolor, or adapt assets for use within a finished work
- Use design assets and publishing systems across multiple projects owned by the same individual or small business. (This excludes editable event templates, which are licensed per event.)
- Atelier Publishing Systems & Codices may be used to develop, format, and support original creative works. Content created using these systems remains the sole property of the creator. Codices themselves may not be redistributed or republished in whole or in part.
Finished works may be sold, distributed, or shared without restriction.
For Editable Event Templates (Invitation Suites):
These templates are governed by split licensing tiers, which clients select during purchase:
• Personal License permits:
1. Use of event templates for one personal event only.
2. Sharing of printed materials with guests
• Commercial License permits:
1. Use for one client event per purchase
2. Customization and delivery of flattened, finished print-ready files to one client.
3. Incorporation into completed event stationery projects.
Please note that reuse for additional events requires an additional license.

What is Not permitted
The Standard Studio License does not permit:
- Redistribution, resale, or sharing of the original asset files for any of the Atelier’s products
- Inclusion of assets and templates in downloadable products intended for reuse by others
- Use of assets in competing design packs, templates, or asset libraries
- Sharing files with collaborators, teams, or clients outside the licensed entity
- Reuse of editable event templates for multiple client events under a single Standard License
- Use of editable event templates in template resale, design packs, or client-repeat services
Assets and templates may not be made available in a way that allows extraction or reuse by third parties.
